Thanksgiving is a time for feasting and reflection, and for wrestling fans, it’s also time for Survivor Series! This year, the holiday wasn’t just about turkey in the AntMan household—it was about taking smoked brisket to the next level and enjoying one of WWE’s most entertaining PLEs of the year. While Michael stuck to the traditional “eat, nap, repeat” routine, AntMan took it up a notch with not one, but two turkeys (smoked and air-fried) and a bonus brisket that stole the post-dinner spotlight.
Survivor Series brought the heat this year, with War Games adding layers of excitement. Historically, the event wasn’t always a fan favorite, but the addition of War Games has elevated its status among wrestling enthusiasts. This year’s matches had us on the edge of our seats, even as the first bites of leftover turkey turned into bowls of brisket chili. That’s the beauty of wrestling—it pairs perfectly with anything on the menu.
The Women’s War Games match sparked a lot of conversation, particularly around Nia Jax’s performance. Social media critics came in full force, but as Bully Ray pointed out on Busted Open, there’s an art to swinging a chair or taking a move in the ring. Wrestling is live art, and like Thanksgiving cooking, not every dish comes out perfect. But the storytelling and athleticism of Survivor Series more than made up for any missteps.
